About this programme
The Defence Information Recognition Programme acknowledges personnel and approved partners who have contributed to the security, capability and reputation of the Australian Defence portfolio during the current financial year.
Recipients receive a recognition certificate, a service pin, and a one-time allocation of points redeemable through the Defence recognition store.
- Open to serving members and approved civilian partners
- Allocation is determined by your nomination category and unit
- Claims must be lodged by the close of the current recognition window
Operational recognition
Nominations are received from commanding officers, programme leads, and verified internal channels. Each nomination is reviewed by the Recognition Secretariat before an award letter is issued.
